Animal shelter festivals are much more than just a nice outing
Animal shelter festivals bring people and animal shelters together, raise awareness, and help support daily operations through donations, campaigns, and sales.
For many animal shelters, summer festivals, Christmas markets, or open house days are therefore an important part of their work.
A task that concerns us all
Animal shelters are there when an animal suddenly has no one left.
They take in stray animals, care for abandoned, confiscated, sick, or elderly animals, and provide them with protection.
For many, the animal shelter is just a stopover on the way to a new home. For some, it becomes a home for an indefinite period – sometimes even forever.
These animals need food, medical care, and above all time, patience, attention, and people who are there for them every day.
At the same time, high ongoing costs arise for veterinary care, medication, food, energy, cleaning, maintenance, and staff.
The organizations cover much of this themselves – through donations, membership fees, sponsorships, events, sponsors, and volunteer work.
Every bit of support helps.
Because behind every animal shelter are animals that need protection, are hoping for a new home – or perhaps will stay there for a long time.
Animal shelter festivals help ensure that this work can continue.
