These ground beef basil sticks are a healthy and delicious treat for your cat! The tender ground beef combined with the fresh flavor of basil makes for an irresistible snack with no artificial additives. Easy to prepare and perfect for between meals – your cat will love them!
🐾 Ingredients for approx. 15–20 sticks
- 200 g lean ground beef (naturally unseasoned) 🐄
- 1 egg 🥚
- 2 tbsp coconut flour (for the perfect binding without wheat) 🌾
- 1 teaspoon fresh chopped basil 🌿
- 1 pinch of dried SNOOZYCAT® catnip 🌿
🔥 Preparation
- Prepare the dough: Mix all ingredients until smooth – sniffing is allowed!
- Shape sticks: Use your hands to form small sticks or mini rolls. Bobbel loves them in the shape of mouse tails.
- Baking: Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 160 °C for about 15 minutes – until firm and lightly browned.
- Allow to cool: Allow to cool thoroughly before serving. Hot treats aren't Bobbel's style—more "charmingly served on porcelain."
📦 Storage & Shelf Life
- In the refrigerator: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days
- In the freezer: Freeze in portions – up to 2 months
- Tip: Thaw at room temperature – this keeps it nice and juicy
